Operating from a new custom built for powder metal manufacturing
facility, Capstan California is an innovative leader in powdered metal
structural components, porous sintered metal, and textile industry

Structural
Components: Technically advanced PM and a quick response
to tough customer demands are among California's strengths. In-house
development and engineering combined with specialty production
techniques- including high sintering- give California a distinct
advantage. We offer complex multilevel components fabricated from
approximately 100 alloys, including stainless steel and finished to
your specifications. We are capable of cold isostatic pressing and
conventional multi-action pressing from 20 to 200 tons.
Porous Components: Capstan
California provides worldwide support in the custom and the standard
line supply of controlled flow porous metal components. Specializing
in bronze and stainless steel, California serves a multitude of
filtration markets and industries ranging from oil and water
filtration to machinery snubbers, spargers, and aspirators. After 40
years, Capstan California continues to lead in the porous metal
industry.
Textile Assemblies: Capstan
California is an acknowledged in the fabrication and assembly of PM
textile spinning rings, marketed worldwide under the
"Merriman" brand name. Capstan offers the broadest array
